Description

FAST-ACT is a cutting-edge solution designed for efficient chemical spill response. It is made from a unique combination of common metal oxides (MgO + TiO₂) with a specially engineered morphology, giving it powerful nanomaterial properties. With a final particle size of about 5μm, FAST-ACT offers a high level of performance for managing hazardous spills safely and effectively.

The production process of FAST-ACT creates a non-toxic molecular structure with significantly increased porosity and surface area. This unique structure allows it to quickly bind with and neutralize harmful chemicals, making it an ideal tool for any chemical spill response operation. Whether used in industrial sites, laboratories, or emergency situations, FAST-ACT provides a fast, reliable, and eco-friendly method to contain and neutralize chemical hazards.

How Does It Work?

Nanomaterials naturally tend to clump together, but FAST-ACT is different. Its molecular structure is intentionally incomplete, allowing it to actively bind with reactive substances through a process called ionic bonding. When used for a chemical spill response, FAST-ACT attracts the ions of the hazardous chemical and uses them to complete its own structure. This process, known as destructive adsorption, effectively neutralizes dangerous liquids and vapors.

FAST-ACT’s large surface area contains numerous corners and edges filled with unsaturated ions, making it highly effective at targeting hazardous compounds. When it comes into contact with chemicals, FAST-ACT doesn’t just absorb them—it destroys them, producing a safe, non-hazardous by-product. For example, when reacting with hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), FAST-ACT forms magnesium sulfide (MgS), a harmless residue. This makes FAST-ACT a reliable and powerful solution for any chemical spill response situation.
